Press Release Summary = MAINZ, Germany, April 18, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Coattec Industries, Inc. (Other OTC:CTCK.PK - News) today announced that DiversiPlast has reported positive test results of aluminum ridge vent samples provided by the Company\'s German partner, Meinecke Dachtechnologies. Attic ventilation systems in the U.S. must pass national and local tests specific to the geographic markets where they are sold, and the testing is administered by ICC Evaluation Service, Inc., the United States\' leader in evaluating building products for compliance with code.
Press Release Body = The tests are used to determine the NFVA, Net Free Ventilation Area, according to ICC-ES, per the Acceptance Criteria for Attic Vents and Static Product Measurement Procedure. These include between 10-20 tests and measurements, such as dust exposure tests, temperature cycling, weathering tests, resistance to wind-driven rain and snow, corrosion resistance. Additional local tests of these ridge vents that are to be administered are the Dade County tests from the Miami-Dade building code compliance office for wind-driven (hurricane) water.
